Prep Schools: Years 3-8
Helping prep schools develop initiative, teamwork and leadership
Why Arena?
With over thirty years' experience, Arena has developed a wide range of outdoor activities that are ideal for the ages of 6 years and above. These range from a simple obstacle course through to various team activities and woodland-based adventure games. Not only are they fun, but they develop initiative, teamwork and leadership skills away from the restrictions of the classroom.
An Arena event can help to fulfil various Key Stage 2 requirements, including Physical Education as well as covering Personal, Social and Health Education (PHSE) and Citizenship.
Reasons for a school/form outing to Arena:
- Induction day for new intake to the school
- Weekend activities for boarders
- Activity Day
- Prefect/Monitor selection
- After exam celebration
- Helping to fulfil various educational requirements including Geography
- Leavers' event
Useful Notes for Staff/Parents:
On site we have the following available for use:
- Changing rooms and toilets
- A large undercover Barbecue/Picnic area which schools are welcome to use by arrangement. All we ask is that staff/parents/guardians ensure that this area is kept tidy and all rubbish is taken away. We provide recycling facilities on site for CLEAN plastic (Nos 1, 2 & 3 ONLY), glass and paper
- Free tea/coffee facilities for staff
- Fresh drinking water for all
Please note the following:
- Instructors CRB checked
- We have been vetted by both Kent County Council and East Sussex County Council
- We carry £10,000,000 Public Liability Insurance (copy of the Certificate wording available on request)
- All instructors are qualified First Aiders and First Aid facilities are situated in the Safety Area
- We require an Adult/Child ratio of normally 1:8
- Coaches - we encourage schools to use mini-buses. However if coaches are used access must be down Rosemary Lane from the A21
- We can be flexible with time slots and offer 3 lengths of activity
