Family Clay Pigeon Shooting
Half Day : Approximately 3 hours
Minimum Age: 14
You saw Pete Wilson win a Gold at the 2012 Olympics for Clay Pigeon Shooting. It cannot be that difficult - or is it? Here is your chance to find out.
It's a major step up from shooting dodgy air rifles at the fairground and makes for a challenging and hugely enjoyable family event.
Clay pigeon shooting is suitable for all ages (14 and up) as can be demonstrated by a recent event for a grandfather celebrating his 70th birthday along with family members from 3 different generations.
Under the expert eye of the CPSA qualified Instructors you can have the opportunity to use the 12 or 20 bore shotguns in controlled surroundings. After an initial briefing and the chance to find out if you are left or right eye dominant (it does make a difference when you get this bit right) you will try your hand at practice shots before the competitive part.
There will be several different stands such as Rising Teal - the clay goes up nearly vertically, stops briefly at the top before falling to earth, Left to Right – pretty self explanatory, Going Away – again self explanatory!
A 50 clay shoot including practice and competition and several different stands.
Includes initial welcome, briefings and tea/coffee breaks. Instruction and all safety equipment is provided.
Very popular with both Stag and Hen groups and ideally suited to all regardless of age and fitness.
All participants must wear sturdy footwear, warm, waterproof clothing, long trousers, long-sleeved tops and thin gloves. Bring a complete change of warm kit & footwear. THIS IS ESSENTIAL THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
